6-Cup Aluminum Moka Pot
Classic Italian stovetop coffee maker crafted from food-grade aluminum with an ergonomic heat-resistant handle and safety pressure valve. Makes rich, bold espresso-style coffee on any gas or electric stovetop.
Brewing Steps
Fill Water Chamber
Pour cold filtered water into the bottom chamber up to the safety valve line. Never exceed it — the valve prevents dangerous pressure buildup.
Add Coffee Grounds
Fill the filter basket with medium-fine ground coffee. Level it gently — do not press or tamp down. Tamping blocks water flow and builds dangerous pressure.
Assemble the Pot
Seat the filter basket in the bottom chamber, then screw the top firmly onto the base. The rubber gasket must be properly seated — a tight seal prevents leaks and ensures correct pressure.
Heat on Stove
Set to medium-low heat with the lid open. Watch for coffee to steadily rise into the upper chamber. Remove from heat the instant you hear gurgling — that’s over-extraction beginning.
Pour & Serve
Pour immediately into a pre-warmed cup. Before pouring, give the upper chamber a quick stir to blend the layers — this evens out the flavor for a balanced, bold cup. Enjoy straight or use as the base for a latte, cortado, or americano.
Pro Brewing Tips
Use Filtered Water
Tap water minerals leave deposits and flatten flavor. Filtered or spring water keeps your pot clean and your coffee tasting bright.
Grind Fresh, Grind Fine
Medium-fine grind — finer than drip, slightly coarser than espresso. Grind right before brewing; pre-ground coffee loses aroma within 15 minutes of opening.
Pre-heat Your Water
Start with hot (not boiling) water in the chamber. This speeds extraction and prevents the grounds from scorching during slow heat-up, which causes bitterness.
Low & Slow Heat
Medium-low heat is the rule. High heat scorches grounds before water rises properly. Patience always equals better coffee in a Moka Pot.
Listen for the Gurgle
The gurgling sound signals water is nearly fully pushed through. Remove from heat immediately — anything after that point is over-extracted and bitter.
Cool the Bottom Fast
Run cold water over the bottom chamber right after removing from heat. This halts the brewing instantly and preserves cleaner, brighter top notes in the cup.
Dose by Weight
For consistent results, use a kitchen scale. A 6-cup Moka Pot uses approximately 20–22g of coffee to 300ml of water.
Stir Before Pouring
The first and last coffee to flow have different concentrations. A quick stir in the upper chamber before pouring balances every cup.

Care & Safety
Keep It Brewing Right
- Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap after each use
- Never place in the dishwasher — detergents and high heat damage the gasket and aluminum finish
- Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling to prevent moisture and oxidation
- Inspect and replace the rubber gasket when it appears cracked, worn, or no longer seals properly
- Occasionally brew a chamber of plain water to flush residue — discard that water
